When to sign
Common documents: rate confirmations, delivery receipts/proof of delivery, carrier documents, or forms your broker/customer asks you to sign and return.
Steps (browser-local)
- Open HaulForm Sign PDF.
- Upload your PDF (processed locally; nothing is sent to our servers).
- Draw or type your signature, place it on the required page(s).
- Add a date if needed, review placement, download the signed PDF.
Visible vs digital signatures
A visible electronic signature (a signature image/typed name placed on the document) is different from a certificate-backed digital signature. Some recipients accept a visible signature; others require specific signing methods. Verify before relying on it.
Tips
- Keep the original and the returned copy.
- Sign only where authorized.
- If the PDF is encrypted/password-protected, ask for an unlocked copy.
